The Reverend J. Connor Haynes has been Rector of St. Mary’s for twenty-nine years. A native of Illinois, he received the Master of Divinity degree from Nashotah House seminary in Wisconsin.

He was ordained as a deacon, then as a priest, in 1986, and served in the Diocese of Springfield, Illinois before being called to St. Mary’s in 1996. Father Haynes has three children and three grandchildren.

Aside from his vocation as a priest, his interests include history, music and, of course, family.
